Your video blog is a final account, an epilogue, which wraps
up your project. It should be seen as an
exercise of self-reflection. You should
have fun with this small project and find a way to present your material in a unique fun way that
is representative of your group’s personality.
Feel free to use footage from your project, bloopers, and off course you
will be given an opportunity to shoot new material specific to this
exercise. Everyone must appear and speak in the
blog. You
may use any music you want, record VO’s, create graphics and do stuff that is
fun and legal within reason.
You will have 1 week to complete this blog.
Make sure to read the link on the pages sidebar in the blog:

D - Your video lacks any semblance of a narrative and its
purpose is unclear.
F - There is no rhyme or reason to your video blog and seems to
make few connections the PSS and your group’s experiences.
INTRO (10)
You will write a short introduction on the blog that will appear above and if you wish below your embedded video. It is up to you what you write. Make it as long as necessary but never too long. It is expected to be fun or irreverent or tongue-in-cheek or sardonic or playful or whatever. Give it some bite, make it stand out so the viewer will want to watch your video. This is your HOOK to the video.
A – Enticing and sharp creating a buzz that compels the viewer to want to see the video.
D – Straightforward and unimaginative but sets up the video OK.
F – No intro, or an intro that is devoid of playfulness and purpose.

REFLECTION (20)
A - Your audience gets a good sense of what your group went
through making your PSS, gets a feel for the group dynamic and each member
expresses themselves on-camera (OC), (and maybe in VO). The effort is seamless; each new bit of
information transitions from what preceded it.
B - Your audience gets a good sense of what your group went
through making your PSS, gets a feel for the group dynamic and each member
expresses themselves on-camera (OC), (and maybe in VO). There are moments when the narrative is
dropped and transitions are obvious.
C - The structure of the blog is at times disjointed and often
resembles a series of unrelated events.
However, in the end, the narrative does come through.
D - The narrative is lost in a series of unrelated events.
F - The blog makes no sense.
TECHNICAL (20) ! *
A - Technical skill is demonstrated by
- the cutting of a seamless video
- with a proper mix
- and the ability to upload the video to SchoolTube
Lastly the video was embedded into your blog.
B - One of the 3 above skills is lacking.
C - Two of the 3 above skills is lacking.
D - All of the above skills is lacking.
F - Did not embed a video blog.
! NOTE, VERY IMPORTANT:
The inability to embed your video into your blog is a failure not only for this
technical category but also for the project as a whole. If you are unable to embed the video then it
cannot be graded and you will receive a zero.
* Since you have had little to no experience with the
cameras you are using for this project you will not be judged on the technical
merits of your video shooting except: You should be capable of recording a
clear and recognizable image and understandable audio.
ORIGINALITY / CREATIVITY (20)
A - You created a video that is unique to your group’s
collective personality. You tried to be
unique and different without losing the sense of the narrative.
B - Your approach is unique and the narrative is intact although
there is inconsistency in the creative approach.
C - The approach is generally straightforward with bits of unexpected
creative insight. The narrative is
intact.
D - The approach seldom went beyond the expected. Lacks originality and the group’s collective
personae is not evident. The narrative
is undefinaeable.
F - There is nothing special about your video blog.
